Flash Flood Warning for Howard County until 11:30am

THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN INPOLIS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR.
 EASTERN HOWARD COUNTY IN CNTL IN.

* UNTIL 1130 AM EDT

* AT 731 AM EDT.NATL WEATHER SVC DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED  SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE  WARNED AREA.  RADAR ESTIMATES UP TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE OCCURRED  SINCE 500 AM FOR AREAS JUST NE OF KOKOMO.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO  OCCUR. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS  OF EASTERN HOWARD COUNTY.INCLUDING THE TOWNS OF CONVERSE.
 GREENTOWN & WAWPECONG.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.

TO REPORT FLOODING.HAVE THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATL WEATHER SVC FORECAST OFFICE IN INDIANAPOLIS.
