There are two weather stories for the start of the week. One to two inches of rain over the next 3 days will accelerate snow melting causing saturated ground and low level flooding. Creeks and rivers will likely exceed their banks over the next week from this rain and snow melt too.
Besides the rain we will see warmer temperature very near 60 degrees on Monday and Tuesday. The spring like temperatures will bring the potential for spring like severe weather. The SPC has designated a general risk for I-70 and south in
The risk assessment could increase as we approach Tuesday. The storms on Tuesday currently look like similar to last Tuesday. The storms will form a squall line and ahead of a cold front. Unlike last Tuesday, there will not be the tremendous temperature drop but there will still be a noticeable change going into the overnight and Wednesday.
