Winter Weather Advisory/Winter Storm Warning

WINTER STORM EXPECTED OVER CNTL IN.

OVERVIEW.SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BY SATURDAY MORNING. HEAVIEST SNOWS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS SOUTHEAST PARTS OF CNTL IN.INCLUDING THE CITIES OF MUNCIE.TIPTON.NOBLESVILLE.INPOLIS.BLOOMINGTON.
BEDFORD.SHELBYVILLE & COLUMBUS.

A WINTER STORM WILL MOVE INTO IN TONIGHT. THE STORM IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATE THIS EVENING AS LIGHT SLEET POSSIBLY MIXED WITH SNOW PUSHES INTO THE VINCENNES.SULLIVAN & LINTON AREAS.
AS THE STORM PUSHES EAST THE PRECIPITATION WILL CHANGE OVER TO ALL SNOW DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ACROSS CNTL IN FOR MUCH OF THE DAY ON FRI & CONTINUE INTO FRI NIGHT. ON FRI NIGHT AND EARLY SATURDAY.NORTH WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE.RESULTING IN BLOWING & DRIFTING OF THE NEW SNOW.

RUSH HOUR ON FRI MORNING & FRI AFTERNOON WILL LIKELY BE DIFFICULT DUE TO SNOWFALL.

SNOW IS THEN EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF ON SATURDAY.GIVING WAY TO CLOUDY SKIES & FLURRIES.

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRI TO 6 AM EST SATURDAY.

THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN INPOLIS HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW.WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM FRIDAY TO 6 AM EST SATURDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* MAIN IMPACT: UNTREATED ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW COVERED ON FRIDAY.
SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE ON ROADS BY FRI AFTERNOON. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW FRI NIGHT WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY. TRAVEL MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS.

* ACCUMULATIONS: SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES ARE EXPECTED.

* TIMING: SNOW WILL BEGIN IN THE WARNING AREAS AFTER 400 AM AND CONTINUE THROUGH FRI NIGHT.

* OTHER IMPACTS: DRIFTING SNOW WILL OCCUR FRI NIGHT.

* OTHER IMPACTS: DRIFTING SNOW WILL OCCUR FRI NIGHT.
